David Grant Parker

Member of the Board of Directors

President and CEO

Grant along with his wife Megan Parker founded Hope Over Crisis. They have 5 beautiful children. Grant holds degrees in Political Science from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s in Intercultural Studies and Bible from the seminary at Columbia International University. Grant has traveled extensively and has served on teams and in leadership roles for para-church, church planting, and international humanitarian aid organizations for the past 20 years. While having served in global leadership roles for organizations such as Frontiers and Samaritan’s Purse, Grant’s experience and primary focus has been for the regions contained in what is called the 10/40 Window. Having walked through crises themselves while living and working overseas and domestically, Grant and Megan started Hope Over Crisis in 2020 believing while the world may press pause amidst crisis, the Church needs to press on, under the authority and power of Jesus, being the light of the world it was designed to be. Grant, Megan and their children currently reside in South Carolina and are members of Doxa Church in Myrtle Beach, which is part of the Evangelical Free Denomination.

Megan has served as an administrator for multiple churches and held supportive roles, including leading teams in challenging, foreign contexts, alongside her husband, Grant, since 2006. After serving and living in South Asia for over 5 years she and Grant returned to the United States. Megan has served her husband and children through over 5 state transitions as well as through 4 international transitions for the sake of sharing the gospel and to bring Hope to those in the midst of crisis. She has been a sounding board to multiple women in leadership and loves to serve her family and others in discovering more of how God made them, for their joy and his glory. Together they have 5 amazing children whom Megan has homeschooled since 2013.

John Teilhet, P.A.

John is a Physician Assistant working in orthopedic trauma since 2010.  His career has allowed him to help his patients recover from unexpected injuries, trauma and life altering experiences resulting from a variety of causes including ground level falls, high energy motor vehicle crashes, and gunshot wounds.  He credits his career longevity in a potentially overwhelming environment to the healthy working environment and encouraging relationships he has developed with his surgeons and co-workers.

At home, he is supported by his wife of almost 20 years, Bethany, and their three children.  John and Bethany met while serving at a Christian adventure camp in Northeast Tennessee, which they continue to be involved with, most recently by encouraging their oldest to serve as summer staff in the same role they did way back in the early 2000s.

John and Bethany are members of Grace Fellowship Church, where they serve as New Family Hosts. They also find significant encouragement from their community group friends whom they meet with regularly.
